All of that is just “talk”.
That is how Paul Pogba descriibed the rumours going round about his wanting to leave Manchester United to some other clubs. And even then, he has refused to categorically confirm that he will be staying at the club for a long time.
Even though he is describing it all as talk, it is not a secret that Barcelona F.C. was seriously after his signature during the transfer window but were blocked by the ManU Management.
It even got to a stage where former United defender Gerard Pique saying he would be welcome at Camp Nou.
Pogba has however remained at the Old Trafford as the European window closed on Friday. And so, he remains a ManU player even if only for now.
It is also not a secret that many clubs came after his signature because they wanted to take advantage of the player’s rift with club manager, Jose Mourinho. However, the player keeps insisting that there is no problem between him and the manager.
Pogba told the German outlet Sky Sport that:
“There was a lot of talk, but it was just like that, I’m under contract in Manchester,”
“My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months.
“We have a pure coach-player relationship, that’s right. One thing I can assure you: I will always give 100 per cent, no matter which coach I always give everything for United – I cannot say more.”
