For some time now, it has been a bad news galore coming out of the Manchester United camp. It is either a case of Jose Mourinho’s unhappiness with Woodward for not getting him the players he needed for his defence line or Paul Pogba having issues with the club manager. That has been the situation at the club for weeks now.
We are however happy to inform you that some good news are finally filtering out of Old Trafford.
Reports reaching our News Desk has it on good authority that one of the most reliable defenders in the club, Luke Shaw is close to signing a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Premier League Club.
The left back’s present contract expires next summer and with some top teams in the Premier League already showing interest in acquiring the services of the England international, the Manchester United management is said to be working on extending his contract as soon as possible so as to ward off interest in the player by competitors.
The the length of his proposed new contract is however still to be finalised.
Luke Shaw had been dogged by injuries, poor form and fitness issues but finally sorted himself out and has has been a regular for United this season. He was recently recalled to the National Team based on his recent performances which saw him scoring a goal against Leicester City in United’s 2-1 win on the opening day of the new season.
