Manchester United got boosted by the news that the duo of Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez are in a good position to feature in Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth. Lingard last played a competitive game in the starting XI against Derby in the Carabao Cup defeat at Old Trafford on September 25.
The player did make a brief appearance from the bench against Everton last time out and boss Jose Mourinho has hinted he is in contention for the trip to the Vitality Stadium.
As for Sanchez, he was an unused substitute against the Toffees and his most recent outing came from the bench in the draw at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Antonio Valencia has struggled for game time this term after undergoing “complicated surgery”, but he is finally available for selection.
Manchester United will however be without Diogo Dalot and Marouane Fellaini as they continue to nurse injuries sustained on the international break.
