1st October, 2018.
The Champions League matches resume tomorrow with the second group stage matches to be played across Europe.
Premier League champions, Manchester City will be playing away against Hoffenheim at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena in Germany as they try to get their very first points in the competition this season having lost their first game at home to Lyon at the Etihad Stadium.
Of course, that 2-1 defeat at the hands of Lyon remains the only loss so far this season for ManCity and the team will surely will be hoping for a much better result in Germany.
The team is presently on a good run as they have won their last three matches on the run – without conceding a single goal. Their away form is equally quite impressive as they have won eight of their last 10 matches away from home.
There are also good news when it comes to the issue of injured players returning to action. It is almost a hundred percent chance that Kevin De Bruyne who has been out injured for quite sometime now, will be part of the team that will take on Hoffenheim in Germany.
We also have reports saying Benjamin Mendy is working on his recovery back from injury. However, Defenders Philippe Sandler and Eliaquim Mangala as well as Claudio Bravo are ruled out through injuries.
Manchester City will be hoping that star striker Sergio Aguero can maintain his fine scoring form and help get the much needed three points in Germany. The Argentine forward scored two goals in his last two appearances, taking his tally to seven goals this season.
