Latest Soccer Transfer Deadline Deals For January 2019

1st February, 2019

It was a day of frantic last minute transfer deals as the clock ticked away on the last day of the 2019 Transfer Window in European Football. As was to be expected, some last-minute deals scrambled in, with some of those deals very unexpected. They took many people unawares and definitely raised a few eye brows here and there.

Here are some of the done deals recorded in the final minutes of the transfer window.

Crystal Palace pounced for Michy Batshuayi, Fulham signed Lazar Markovic and Håvard Nordtveidt, Youri Tielemans joined Leicester and Peter Crouch landed at Burnley on an unpredictable deadline day.

Michy Batshuayi – That’s quite the signing for Palace, done very late in the day.

Michy Batshuayi, left, and Youri Tielemans have both been in the headlines on a busy transfer deadline day.
  • Newcastle have signed Miguel Almirón for a club-record £21m fee and Antonio Barreca on loan
  • Youri Tielemans has joined Leicester on loan, with Adrien Silva heading to Monaco
  • Peter Crouch is back in the Premier League, moving to Burnley with Sam Vokes going to Stoke
  • Wolves have spent £18m to make Jonny Otto’s loan move from Atlético Madrid permanent
  • Emile Smith Rowe, Reece Oxford and Barnet’s Ben Wilmot have all sealed loans in Europe
  • Anthony Martial has signed a new contract at Manchester United

Eye-watering fee latest: Sunderland have reportedly offered Wigan £3m for Will Grigg, after their last offer, of around £1.25m, was turned down. Wigan have said thanks very much, and Grigg is heading to Wearside.

Yannick Bolasie joins Anderlecht on loan

West Brom announce three loan moves in one tweet, and one picture. No messing around.
