As the situation stands presently at Manchester United, there are some five vital players who are due to renew their contracts soon that are on the prayer list of Manager Jose Mourinho to do so as fast as possible.
These “anointed” players include David De Gea, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera.
Manchester United must be feeling quite lucky right now that Real Madrid finally decided to buy Thibaut Courtois instead of continuing to pursue De Gea’s signature.
That has finally put to rest the fear that the club might lose the services of one of the very best goalkeepers in the world. He is now expected to sign a new deal with the club in the coming days.
The goal tender was for the umpteenth time the hero yet again in their last match played against Watford which the team went onto win 2-1 away.
As for Ashley Young, he has also been a strong contributor to the team’s recent successes and also made significant contribution at the Vicarage being involved in both goals and his value for Mourinho’s team has once again been highlighted.
Jose Mourinho has also to a large extent enjoyed some considerable contribution to his success at the club so far from Ander Herrera and Mata.
Then there is Marouane Fellaini who was the subject of some speculations early in the summer before he finally decide to extend his contract, and whose tactical versatility was once again on display at the Vicarage.
All in all, Mourinho is surely banking on main players to remain at the team and contribute their quota to the expected successes.
