Jose Mourinho as we know him, is a person who does not hide his feelings especially when things are not going the way he wants them to go. That is the situation he has found himself in at Manchester United in this transfer period which grinds to a halt for Premier League teams this evening.

Only this morning, the Manchester United Manager told newsmen that he is no longer expecting any new arrivals at the club before the 5 p.m. deadline.

Of course, only those who know very little about Manchester United and Jose Mourinho will believe such a statement. The real question is “Which of the players whose names have been on the wish-list of Mourinho will eventually be signed before the deadline?

What happens also will depend to a large extent on whether the club will allow Paul Pogba to move on to F.C. Barcelona as that will surely free up some much needed funds to acquire the services of some solid players still available in the market. It is no secret that Mourinho will not stand in the way of Pogba’s sale as the relationship between the duo is no longer as good as it was.

When the Manager was asked by the possibilities of new signings, he simply replied:

”Signings? The information I have is no. I’m not confident. I’m not confident as the market closes today so it is time at least for me to stop thinking about the market because the market will be closed. So I will have to focus on the players I have and in relation to this the first couple of matches, maybe three matches because after Spurs there is national team and a couple of weeks to recover people and prepare people better.”

Well yes, that is what he had to say but how many people believe all that? Let’s take a look at the situation on ground and as it stands as well as the possible signings Manchester United will manage to make before 5 p.m. today.

As far as we are concerned at Uneekomunikations, Harry Maguire is one player that may just end up in the Red Devils’ camp at the end of today. Yes it is true that Leicester is ready to do everything to keep their prized asset but then we all know that when a club like Manchester United comes calling, it is always difficult for lower placed teams to be able to hold their own firmly enough to deny them their wishes.

That must have informed Leicester’s decision to add two more defenders to its squad in order to be ready for any possibilities. A wise move, if you ask me.

Then of course, news have just filtered in that Manchester United are now finally ready to spend big to lure the defender to Old Trafford by paying the required £75million to sign Harry Maguire.

If Leicester had thought that the Red Devils could be priced out of signing the England international, they surely have goofed this time around. Even the player was understood to have made it clear through his agent that he wishes to join the Premier League giants.

The second player we would want to stick our heads out for is Toby Alderweireld. Even though this is a player on the payroll of Tottenham Hotspurs which is another Premiership Heavy-weight team like ManU and so makes such a transfer the more difficult, the chances are really there that the Manchester side has what it takes to pry this player away from London.

We have reliable information to the effect that Alderweireld’s father has flown to England to advise in the event of any potential sale. Of course, Tottenham is going to do everything to stand in the way of such a move but then, we are talking about Manchester United here. It is no secret that ManU want to pair Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld in a complete revamp of their central back line.

As always, time shall tell who will proved right latest by 5 p.m. today. You are advised to free up time to be able to partake in the flurry of activities that will take place betwenn 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. today in England.

We can tell you on authority that some private jets have been placed on alert for this evening’s trips not just across Britain but Europe generally. You can thanks us later for this piece of “secret” information.
