Real Madrid F.C. travels to Vitoria to play against Deportivo Alaves this afternoon in a LaLiga league game with the hopes of bringing to an end an embarrassing three-match run without a win.
In order to achieve their aim, the team is leaving nothing to chance and have been boosted by the return of influential striker, Gareth Bale.
It will be recalled that the player hobbled out of last week’s 0-0 draw with city rivals Atletico Madrid in a LaLiga pairing and was one of a number of stars that were absent for a shock Champions League defeat away to CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.
Real Madrid has not scored since they defeated Espanyol 1-0 on September 22. Matters have not been helped by the numerous injury problems that have of recent, been piling up at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, the Real Madrid manager indicated at his pre-match news conference that Bale would be back in contention to face Alaves. The player was subsequently named in the 20-man party for Saturday’s trip to Vitoria for the match against Deportivo Alaves.
Real is however still sweating on the fitness of some other players such as Dani Carvajal, Marcelo and Isco. They will as expected not be involved in this game for the current European champions.
