F.C. Chelsea has decided to sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in order to replace Thibaut Courtois who is bent on moving on to European Champions, Real Madrid

Reports reaching our News Desk has it on authority that Chelsea are on the verge of unveiling Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga as their new goalkeeper with the exit of Thibaut Courtois from the club looking unstoppable at the moment. The goalkeeper has shown that he is bent on moving to Real Madrid at all costs.

Chelsea have reportedly deposited £71.8million agreed price with Athletico Bilbao as the Spaniard’s release clause on Wednesday morning.

This deal makes Kepa to become Chelsea’s record signing and the most expensive goalkeeper ever as his sign on fee totally eclipses that of the previous world record of £65m paid by Liverpool for Alisson just a few weeks back.

The Blues have been more or less forced to take this decision due to the fact that it is very clear that their current number one goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois is  looking to force through a move to Real Madrid after refusing to resume training with the rest of the squad this pre-season.

The Blues who had earlier on missed out on signing Allison have decided not to take chances this time around as they opted to quickly pay Kepa Arrizabalaga’s release clause in full to avoid any embarrassments.

Reliable Sources from Madrid reported that lawyers representing Kepa’s agency, Bahia Internacional, turned up at the offices of La Liga in Madrid and officially paid his termination clause at 8.22am BST.

The goalkeeper is now expected to move to Stamford Bridge  to undergo a medical and sign his new contract with Chelsea. The deal is likely to be announced by Chelsea sometime on Wednesday this week.

Meanwhile reliable sources claim that Thibaut Courtois is expected in Madrid tomorrow in order to finalize his move from Chelsea.

Even though the 26-year-old Belgian National Fooball team goalkeeper is being heavily criticized for the manner in which he’s trying to force through his move to the Spanish giants, Courtois has made no secret of the fact that he wants to leave, and has failed to join his erstwhile colleagues in training this pre-season training and games.
