Reports reaching our Sports Desk have revealed that some F.C. Barcelona stars have decided to put pressure on the club management to ensure that it brings PaulPogba to the Camp Nou at all costs. They believe that he will be a great addition to the team especially in the midfield zone.
It is a well known fact that the France international is currently not having the best of relations with the Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho and might just want to ply his trade elsewhere.
Reportedly spear-heading the initiative to bring Pogba to the Barca fold are his compatriots and national team colleagues – Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti who are close friends of the unsettled player.
Added to the French duo are other influential veteran players, such as Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi, who are also reportedly backing the club to actualise the dream of signing Pogba.
Another player who is reportedly in support of Pogba Joining Barcelona is his former team-mate at Juventus, Arturo Vidal who incidentally is also now on the payroll of the Spanish football giants. The duo worked miracles in Italy as they led the Old Lady to the Champions League final in 2015.
Even the Barca coach, Ernesto Valverde, is said to also be keen on the potential deal.
It is however not everyone at Barca that thinks this is a good move for the club. Some members of the team’s scouting team have doubts about Pogba as they believe the midfielder won’t fit into Barca famous tiki-taka model as they think that he lacks positional sense and often takes unnecessary risks with the ball.
One major obstacle standing in the way of a possible move of Pogba to Barcelona is the financial aspect of such a deal as Manchester United are very likely to demand as much as £89m for their star player.
