Even though Eden Hazard has continued to keep his decision close to his chest on whether he will be playing for Chelsea next season or not, speculations on his supposed move to Real Madrid at the end of this season have simply refused to go away.
It is actually worse than that as there are people who are ready to bet their wages on the fact that the player will be playing at the Bernabeu next season.
One of such people is a Spanish football journalist who goes by the name Guillem Balague. This journalist actually believes that the future of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has already been decided and there is no turning back at this point – he is set to join Real Madrid this summer.
According to Balague says that there are indications that Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane has already spoken to Hazard about the role that would be expected of him to perform at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He is expected to play more centrally – just like he does for Belgium, with the Frenchman planning the wide roles for the likes of Vinicius, Brahim and Rodrygo. Whether this is true or not is however yet to be seen.
And then of course, the player’s present club, Chelsea are surely not just going to sit by and watch one of their best players leave the team so easily.
Quite understandably, Chelsea are not in any hurry to complete such a deal. They believe that the Court of Arbitration for Sports, to which they’ve appealed against the two-window transfer ban they’ve been slapped with, will at least suspend the ban until they’ve had the chance to study the evidence given properly.
They are also demanding something in the region of €100 million, which is €20 million more than Real’s estimate, but that difference is seen as a compensation if the Spanish club want to accelerate the process.
