Just when new Chelsea Manager, Maurizio Sarri and their teeming fans thought the transfer storm was over and the team can now concentrate on playing football, feelers reaching our News Desk are pointing in the opposite direction as the two Madrid soccer giants, Real and Atletico are known to be making plans to snatch not just Hazard, but now also Alonso from the Blues before the Spanish transfer window closes.
Chelsea has done everything possible to keep hold of their top players but Maurizio Sarri surely faces a nervous wait regarding the pair in question, particularly when he knows fully well that he can’t replace them before January.
Real Madrid’s infamous defeat to their bitter rivals Atletico Madrid at the recent UEFA Super Cup final, seem to suggest that there is uncertainty looming over the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, which is yet to be filled.
This has naturally pushed Florentino Perez into the determination to bolster his squad for the 2018/19 season and also therefore rekindled his interest in Eden Hazard.
It is understood that Real Madrid are making a final push for Hazard as they look to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Chelsea has made it clear that he’s not available at any cost.
Chelsea have already had to sell Thibaut Courtois to the Champions League holders and there fears right now that Hazard will join his international team-mate in refusing to sign a new deal and forcing through a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
To worsen an already bad enough situation, Chelsea has a new headache to handle as Real’s city rivals, Atletico are now also trying to sign a Chelsea player, with Alonso emerging as a late target.
As far as the Atletico Madrid’s side of the issue is concerned, Filipe Luis has reportedly made up his mind to move on to Paris St. Germain and so there is the need to secure a top-quality replacement for him prior to the closing of the transfer window.
As the situation stands presently, both Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso are two of the most treasured assets at Chelsea and there is no doubt whatsoever that the club’s top brass will try their level best to hold on to the duo.
The little period left before the 31st August, 2018 when the transfer window closes in Spain is surely going to be a very jittery period for the Chelsea Management and fans.
