Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Dominate 2018 Soccer Transfer News.

8th July, 2018

It is not news that both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are considered the best footballers in the world as at present. It is also not news that both of them have crashed out of the on-going 2018 FIFA World Cup Competition in Russia.

What is news is the fact that both have refused to stay quiet and give some space for other footballers to get some attention even when it comes to the transfer news space.

While one has decided to stay put with his club but at the same time intervene with his team’s transfer decisions, the other is aiming to swap clubs in order to get a higher wage. Now to the details as they are hot.

Lionel Messi

Just as Manchester United’s Manager decided to pry away Brazilian winger Willian from F.C. Chelsea with a deal getting closer by the day, the process is suddenly facing a possible obstacle from an unexpected competitor – Lionel Messi!

Reliable reports reaching us have it that the Barcelona legend is keen on linking up with the Brazilian at the Camp Nou. And so, La Liga champions F.C. Barcelona are now thought to be interested in signing the £60m-rated Willian.

It is however interesting to see what factors will sway the Brazilian as he has to decide which is more important to him – a reunion with Jose Mourinho or the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi and other stars at the Nou Camp next season.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s proposed switch from Real Madrid to Juventus in a £88m deal between both clubs seem to be getting closer by the day as Juve chief executive Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici were reportedly said to be receiving positive signals from the Management of the current Champions’ League holders.

It will be recalled that Cristiano Ronaldo has for sometime now hinted of his wish to move elsewhere from Madrid for various reasons which also include his wish to get better wages for his services.

The Ronaldo camp however decided to allow focus to be on both clubs reaching an agreement before the player’s contractual terms are defined with Juventus F.C.

It is now looking more likely that CR7 as he is known to his teeming supporters world-wide will be adorning the Juve shirt in the coming season.
